Synopsis

Bailey lives with her brother Hunter and father Bog, who is raising them alone in a squat in north Kent. God doesn't have much time for them. Bailey looks elsewhere for attention and adventure. Barry Keoghan dropped out of Gladiator 2 (2024) to star in this film.

Of course, this is a very well-made film that doesn't seem to have needed a big budget, given the excellent performance of the new generation of actors.

However, this film is definitely not for everyone, as it spends its entire length exploring this type of dangerous environment and the positive aspects surrounding it. I think he definitely did his job in delivering a thoughtful message with a great performance that really makes an impact and I can respect him for that. But my personal opinion is that I don't really like the characters, I mean yes they are accurate but I just see people like this everyday and I can't stand the actions of a lot of people. Although some of the walls with them are very funny, I can't empathize with or relate to what some of the characters do in this movie, and I hated Bagh's character, a really annoying but realistic portrayal of men and parents like him.

But the acting is very good, my favorite character Bird doesn't really have many lines, but he doesn't need to

. Also, I wouldn't really encourage young kids to talk to random strangers and follow them around, but Bird is an escape for these kids, and it's not what it is. Overall I would never watch it again, I don't think this movie should be watched on a bigger screen, it's more watchable at home. The Bird has decent acting, humor, and great scenes, but I didn't like most of the characters, even Bailey was annoying, but I guess that's the point, to show that people like them are real and really live like this, so there you go.

I think it's a good message, but don't go see it in the cinema, I just don't think it's that exciting to be honest, and the length could be adjusted as the film is a bit long in my opinion, but I wouldn't recommend rushing it.
